Important Notes:

  1. The three 'M' options available to Year 3 F102 MChem students in session 2009-10 are CHEM452, CHEM486 and CHEM494. The two 'M' options available to Year 3 F1F3 MChem students in session 2009-10 are CHEM452 and CHEM486.
  2. CHEM326 could suit BSc and MChem students who have done some post-GCSE Physics and who were in at least the middle tier of Maths in CHEM280 or CHEM290. Students should talk to the Year 3 coordinator before selecting CHEM326.
  3. CHEM385 is strongly recommended to Final Year BSc students. [The same material is already included in CHEM375 and in CHEM395]
  4. Final Year BSc students may be allowed to take additional modules (e.g. 'A' options or CHEM227) in the first Semester instead of one or more 'A' options in the second Semester, particularly if they have selected CHEM385 as one of their modules.
  5. Subject to timetable requirements and satisfying prerequisites, Final Year BSc students may be allowed to replace 'A' options with level-2 or level-3 modules from other Departments, but explicit permission is required.
  6. Year 3 FZ61 MChem students take CHEM383 and CHEM388 ‘distance learning’ modules.
